> I have yet to get official word on this, but it And that definitely excludes the Intel Macs, doesn't it? If you say it's there, then I'm wrong about this version being able to start up "EVERY" Mac made today running Tiger 10.4.x. I wasn't aware of the web site disclaimer.

> built in cameras, but not the Intel iMacs or > only start up those Macs introduced as of > According to Alsoft's website, the latest CD can > Mac made today running Tiger 10.4.x, and I I may be wrong, but I can tell you that this CD I got today just *blew through* the rebuild procedure, where the old CD just choked and died, unable to rebuild those Directories. Therefore, considering that it would not work on the volumes I had to have rebuilt, heavily fragmented volumes as they were, I have to deduce that there is some difference between the two because the modification dates are different. Of interest MM, is that my previous "updated" CD (the one that I made from the download on the Alsoft web site), is version 3.0.3, but the modification date is December 15, 2003, 2:34PM. Now I did the download, and did the "update" to v3.0.3, supposedly, and that CD ROM and the version of DiskWarrior that's on it would NOT rebuild the Directories of the 3 HDrives that I described in my post here. Just like you suspected, and I did too, the version is 3.0.3, but the modification date is April 29, 2005, 2:34PM. > What's the version and modification date on the > worked better than the last official version.
Diskwarrior 3.03 update#
> So it's interesting that your CD update supposedly What's different on the CD I just received today is the startup-system is 10.4.x.when you "make" the update CD from the download, you're still using 10.3.x AFAIK. > Alsoft would ship an updated version on CD that's > I give them enough credit that I don't believe > The online update is the same v3.0.3 that's been > I don't know what they did to this version of What's the difference between reality and fiction? Fiction has to make some sense. It's the best $20.90 I've spent in a long, long time. 39 costs only $12.95 for registered owners, plus $7.95 for USPS Priority Mail shipping.
Diskwarrior 3.03 upgrade#
Thank you Alsoft! A Mac's best friend, DiskWarrior, comes through again.įYI, the upgrade to Rev. On my DA G4, running 10.4.4, with the 1.8GHz DP Giga Designs CPU, those two HDrives had 30% and 29% of the Directory items out of order, and the previous DiskWarrior version just choked on the rebuilds, giving me the "Directory is too badly damaged to rebuild" dialogue.
Diskwarrior 3.03 pro#
39 will start up EVERY Mac made today running Tiger 10.4.x, and I assume that also means the new Intel Macs, the MacBook Pro and iMac. 39, the latest and greatest build, but Alsoft's DiskWarrior just kicked into high gear and rebuilt the Directories of 3 ATA HDrives, one in my G5, and two in my DA G4, that the previous revision of 3.0.3 could NOT rebuild: I am so happy about not having to clean wipe, and reinstall the OS and Applications on these 3 HDrives that I could hug the nice people, every one of them, at Alsoft.Īlsoft told me that this new Rev. I don't know what they did to this version of 3.0.3, Rev.
